Updated SharePoint Query Correlation ID Central Admin Page to 2013

Thanks to Ghislain Lerda, the SharePoint Query Correlation ID Central Admin Page has been migrated to 2013. There’s also a new functionality available on the results page which allows you to export the results to a txt file.

The source of the project on CodePlex has been restructured to 2 branches: one for SharePoint 2010 and one for SharePoint 2013. You’ll find future changes for both projects on the same CodePlex site.

You can get the latest at the releases page on CodePlex:

The deployment and configuration of the solution is still the same. Simply install the .wsp on your farm and check the Monitoring category page in central admin. You’ll find a link to the search page there.

Diagnose your farm with the SharePoint Diagnostic Studio

Thanks to my friend Serge, who pointed out this great tool, SharePoint Diagnostic Studio helps me review key health metrics for SharePoint 2010 farms and provides information to help investigate a variety of common performance and configuration issues.

What is SharePoint Diagnostic Studio? It’s a tool part of the SharePoint 2010 Administration Toolkit. If you don’t have it yet, get it! There’s more than just the Diagnostic Studio. Other tools included are:

  • Load Testing Kit
  • Security Configuration Wizard manifest
  • User Profile Replication Engine
  • Content Management Interoperability Services (CMIS) connector

With all these tools you can get to know your farm even better, and tweak or adjust where necessary.

One thing I may have to point out: Run your tool as an administrator or else your tool won’t have the needed access.

Happy analyzing!
